How to Assign Additional Services

Additional services allow companies to store equipment in warehouses, ready for the next user. These services apply to used devices and can include full hardware cleaning, software wiping, basic configurations (such as setting up passwords and usernames), and advanced configurations (such as app installation or system reinstallation). These services can only be requested for devices that are in or headed to a warehouse.

Steps to Request Additional Services

Access the Platform
- Log in to the platform with your user credentials.

Go to the Employees or Inventory Module
- Navigate to the Employees or Inventory module, as needed.

Select Devices
- Choose the devices you want to unassign or store.

Request a Logistics Service
- Request a logistics service for the selected devices.
- Ensure that the selected devices are either already in a warehouse or are on their way, as additional services can only be applied in these cases.

Select the Required Additional Services
- Choose the additional services you need:
- Wiping : Full hardware and software cleaning.
- Basic Configuration : Setting up passwords and usernames.
- Advanced Configuration : Installing applications or reinstalling the system.

Track the Service
- You can track the status of the additional services from the logistics service details or the device profile.

Common Mistakes Users Should Avoid

- Not Verifying Device Destination
- Make sure the devices are either in or en route to a warehouse, as additional services are only applicable in these situations.

- Omitting Necessary Services
- Carefully review configuration and wiping needs to avoid missing any essential services, as this could affect the availability and functionality of the devices.
